What Are You Celebrating?

Serious question. For those celebrating tonight, what is it you celebrate? More free stuff? Forward ... into something? Green jobs? Another 5 trillion in debt in 4 years? Free contraception? Do they (or you) even have a clue what they celebrate? More flexibility with Putin? Holding up the pipeline from Canada? The promise of higher (as planned) energy costs? Keeping a boot on the throat of business expansion? Another 4 years without signing a budget? Moving the control of the (formerly) finest health care system in the world to the federal government? Further depletion of our military? Open borders...and amnesty for all here illegally?

All of the above?

I'd like to know.

I buy my own stuff..don't need free stuff, have never taken a dollar in food stuff.

We reject a return to trickle down top down policies. We reject a party that caters ONLY to those with means and money while ignoring everyone else. We reject a party that offers nothing but a bootstraps speech to minorities.

The 47% Romney comment we realize is ABSOLUTELY TRUE

And tonoght we rejected that notion soundly
by Concerned American November 7, 2012 12:33 AM

And you didn't answer the question.

by Fire for Effect November 7, 2012 12:35 AM

Yeah CA don't you buy foreclosed houses and flip them no wonder you want Barry re elected more misery more foreclosures to buy.
by sfranny November 7, 2012 12:59 AM

You make money on the backs of those 47% please. Let me guess you buy the house for $20,000 and rent to some struggling minority family?
by sfranny November 7, 2012 1:01 AM

FfE is correct, CA; you failed to answer the question.
by So November 7, 2012 2:49 AM

What Are You Celebrating?

We are celebrating because

America rejected a return to trickle down top down policies. America rejected a party that caters ONLY to those with means and money while ignoring everyone else. America rejected a party that offers nothing but a bootstraps speech to minorities.

The 47% Romney comment America realizes is ABSOLUTELY TRUE

And tonight we rejected that notion soundly

How much clearer do I need to be?
by Concerned American November 7, 2012 3:31 AM

CA, I don't think you're reading it right.

From what I've seen, social issues played in much greater than people realized, secondly, the popular vote was fairly close. There is no mandate or endorsement here.

Simply Obama had a better ground game, had more time to paint his picture of Romney, and Romney failed to make his message resonate.

Simple as that.

Besides, your whole "trickle down" nonsense is simply another ideological biased misinterpretation that's been taken apart so many times, it would be redundant to do it again here.
by Lex Parsimoniae November 7, 2012 7:29 AM

CA. You may be illiterate. If so, I apologize for exposing it. I asked WHAT you were celebrating, and even gave examples from which to choose. Give us specific reasons you are glad to have Obama for another term. What do you imagine he will do to make your life better and our country greater? You proceeded to again say WHY you were celebrating. Is it possible you can't see the difference?

by Fire for Effect November 7, 2012 9:01 AM

Lex

you forget, Romney lost, to what the right has been calling for years

THE WORST PRESIDENT EVER

ever...

If you get beat by the worst ever what does that say about your positions, even if by only one vote
by LOANMAN November 7, 2012 9:24 AM

I will, as always, expose every name I've used in the last three years to any challenger who will do the same.

I use but one name.
Franny's problem is not the same as mine.
Mine is from a lenevo tablet I use on occasion...Franny's is a cognitive thought problem....

Oddly, if I am remembering correctly, Franny accused me once of being CA....

I have more respecrt for both of you than to accuse you either of being ExpressOhio....
by turdly November 7, 2012 9:28 AM

Tardly I'd play your game, however, I think you're too much of a coward to through with it.

by MTB November 7, 2012 11:02 AM

Set it up with management.
Last three years is fair enough.

I can't think of an instance where anyone would actually think I am more than one person. I do not have a Figment [you all used to think I was 'I like People], I do not have someone that comes on my posts and shouts 'damned Straight!', I do not have a supporter that is not an equal or greater detractor. I do not waiver in my opinions, I do not accidently say I live in Colorado when I said in a prior thread I live in Florida....

I voice no opinion that would need support or even detracting. I attack the argument only in all but my WTE and hijack this thread....

But; as you like. Anyone else is welcome to do the same. Once I do it the franny's and the I feel sorry for turdly's and the CA's will have no one to challenge them...and watch them hobble away....
by turdly November 7, 2012 11:18 AM

If you get beat by the worst ever what does that say about your positions, even if by only one vote

-----------

Good question. It means those "positions" are more reflective of an America of greatness. The America full of noble ideas that was handed to us, but that we are pissing away. It means that a great many Americans have lost their way. And many others are intelletually lazy...have fallen victim to a mainstream press that no longer has integrity. It means we are in a steep dive, and may not be able to gain control before we crash.

by Fire for Effect November 7, 2012 11:22 AM

Crashes create survivors. There are too many on the plane.

We are back to my;
There are no jobs. You cannot have popultaion growth and automation.

Either we step back in to the iron age or we terminate the terminally stupid. Mandatory sterilizations need to make a come-back. Full self responsibilty by making unemployment a LOAN, and welfare a CAMP.

It won't happen. few of us have the balls to sacrifice some of their own if they do not qualify for life outside of the camp.

You know when i say 'it isn't about me' and you all roll your eyes?

Guess what? You made it all about you and the equal right of your unequal offspring.

Congratulations.
I'll be fine.
by turdly November 7, 2012 11:33 AM

I disagree turdly. We cannot have population growth and automation if we insist that our federal government somehow knows best how to create and dole out jobs, and manage our economy. But our free enterprise system, allowed to thrive unfettered by federal shackles, will innovate and create all the jobs we need. And if we would actually enforce our laws and control our borders...all the better. And if we stop making it so comfortable for able bodied citizens to sit on the couch for years sucking down cases of Busch beer on our dime...all the better.

Problem is, that won't be allowed to happen anytime soon.

by Fire for Effect November 7, 2012 11:51 AM

Loanman, I'm assuming by you post you didn't actually read mine.

There are a number of reasons Romney lost, some I mentioned above, some on other threads and of course given that most people get their political info from main stream media, which was complicit in exposing romney distortions (which there were) but not holding Obama accountable for his (which there were many) skewed the truth.

Romney loss by about 1/2 of one percent spread across the states from the last count I saw.

Not a mandate.

by Lex Parsimoniae November 7, 2012 11:52 AM

CA. You may be illiterate. If so, I apologize for exposing it. I asked WHAT you were celebrating, and even gave examples from which to choose.

Ummm wtf?..you don't get to choose why I celebrate. I said what I am celebrating.
by Concerned American November 7, 2012 12:15 PM

CA. You're an idiot.

by Fire for Effect November 7, 2012 12:33 PM

Who did you say would win the election again?

But I'm the idiot? LOL
by Concerned American November 7, 2012 2:53 PM

CA. You can't articulate specifically what Obama will do for you or for America. He is a failure thusfar, and doesn't have a plan for the future except to grow both the size and scope of entitlements and the federal government. Obama is full of slogans. That's it. You know why you're against Romney (apparently), but have not a clue what Obama will do to help America succeed. That is idiocy.
