Political: The official gloat and concede thread.

I thought it would be nice to have them all in one thread instead of the 100 or so you'll all want to post.

We bystanders are enthralled by the hours you spent on all of this. It must make you feel very productive....
by turdly November 6, 2012 11:27 PM

it's the first time I'm going to enjoy listening to Mitt Romney speak

Dude you so just beat me to this... wisely done.

by LOANMAN November 6, 2012 11:33 PM

Sorry, won't be able to participate. I'm still cleaning up some loose ends on my vote tampering caper.
by That's funny! November 6, 2012 11:34 PM

really I am hopeful that some moderate republicans decide to tell the hard line rights that its time to start working the help instead of having the main objective be to defeat Obama
by LOANMAN November 6, 2012 11:36 PM

Someone find auggie (trishy), lex (kabb), MTB, Jack, etc.

Hide the guns, pills, ropes, and knives.
by Fredpa1 November 6, 2012 11:38 PM

I'm right here enjoying the moment.

Yeah I voted for Romney.

Fred your the last douche bag ill run from.

by MTB November 6, 2012 11:44 PM

The world is tremendously unfair in that I am forced to endure both two terms of Clinton and two terms of Obama in the same lifetime....

by MichiganTed November 6, 2012 11:56 PM

Vaginas beat assholes. Nuff said.
by TeaBaggersRule November 7, 2012 12:15 AM

I am looking for the nearest food stamp, Medicare
Free Gov cell phone, section 8 housing office I can
find. Looking forward to relaxing with 99 weeks
Unemployment and an "off the books" job on the side.

Lots more golf, vag, and beer coming my way.

Thanks BHO

I encourage all my "productive" peers to take
a few years off. Yoooooo Hooooo

I will take a few years of free prophylactics

In the repeated words heard so many times on the vine here in the last 4 years....Its Bushs fault.

He is still stuck in the craw of so many people.
by Unfair and Imbalanced November 7, 2012 12:28 AM

Oh and Turdhead, this was a great attempt at keeping the thread count down but you know there is going to be at least 100 in regarding this in the next 2 weeks.
by Unfair and Imbalanced November 7, 2012 12:37 AM

And we'll be able to see that it is all about the poster and not the process, or respect for the rest of us, or sharing, or caring...just so they get to bitch.
by turdly November 7, 2012 1:09 AM

Thanks for taking the ride with us Tardly. I doubt you'll dissect the irony!

Your fragmented delusional blather always kept it interesting.

It's reassuring to see that those who embrace the reelected also see you as an ally.

by MTB November 7, 2012 1:46 AM

tardly...that was funny can't believe that I didn't see that sooner, I'm disappointed in myself (on many levels)
by LOANMAN November 7, 2012 2:11 AM

So is Barry going to start blaming himself now for what he inherited or is it still Bush's fault?
by ConservativeMe November 7, 2012 7:07 AM

I guess I missed the notice. Posted my congrats to Obama and supporters before I worked my way down to this thread.

Fred's always been a douche.

I am hopeful that Obama will become more 2nd term Clintonesque, unfortunately it has to start from the same place the the partisan divisiveness started (ie: We one, Elections have consequences, you're not invited to the table, etc at the beginning of the first term).

Obama seems like he may be prone to do that, given his acceptance speech, but it will be the whole "actions louder than words" that will tell.

This wasn't a mandate, the popular vote was close, Obama's ground game was better designed to capture the electoral votes.

Again, back to Obama's speech, he seems to have a good read on the outcome, better than some here. We'll just have to wait and see.

I voted for Clinton both times, and other than his revoking Glass Steagall and expanding the CRA, his second term, working with congress, was a good one. Well, except for that whole having the GAO recacalculating of the debt buy pushing liabilities into outlying years. It's a wonder he didn't go to wall street after that one.

He did however, create a sense of cooperation and unity.

Let's see if Obama has it in him now.
by Lex Parsimoniae November 7, 2012 7:41 AM

Other than the above, I have mixed feeling, for the country, I would have preferred Romney to win. But on the selfish side, Obama winning means more monetary easing and a longer recovery cycle.

One is good for precious metals, which means it good for me.

The other, is good for my business model, sad to say.

by Lex Parsimoniae November 7, 2012 7:52 AM

I am not a fan of Obama, but on a personal level.Though I do not know him personally. His wife comes off as haughty, bothered to be involved, and he is what your grandma would have called smarmy.
I would do business with him if forced, but I would keep a special eye on his account.
He is full of a forced, practiced, rehearsed, never to be convincing to the astute person, charm that is surfactant and insincere.

Or I am horribly wrong.

Mitt is made of the standard Mormon plastic that they make guys like him out of.
i have never met a Mormon that I did not like. They, as a whole, rehearse more than Obama has.

I like them enough that I feel right at home in SLC and would move there without the slightest hesitation and would be VERY happy there. I can smell the plastic they are cast of and readily adjust to the circumstance.

I have nothing to say about the politics of either.
A false personality, or a false being...it must have been a hard choice for those who insisted on making one.

here is something odd;
My spell check wanted to change Obama to ABM [whatever that is] but recognized Romney as a word and suggested no corrections.

I don't think I have ever typed either name before....
by turdly November 7, 2012 9:44 AM

It's over for conservatives. In 4 more years, 4 million more people will be on welfare and will vote Democrat. It boggles my mind that we reelected someone who's campaign was based around two ideas: 1) Sure I sucked, but somebody else probably would have sucked just as bad or maybe worse. And 2)the other guy is a liar.

I'm taking the Turdly route now. I'm going to worry about nothing but my family. Even though I do think the country is going to hell, hopefully I'll be dead by the time it gets there. I'll still be more successful than the average bear.

So, as Cartman would say: "Screw you guys, I'm going home."

by rspringer November 7, 2012 11:24 AM

Don't be so sure rspringer, a lot can happen in 4 years.

by Lex Parsimoniae November 7, 2012 11:56 AM

people said the country would go to hell if we freed the slaves

go to hell if we let women vote

go to hell if we let white kids go to school with black kids

We are tired of this type of BS, especially those of us who don't particularlly believe in that anyway

Hopefully you'll be dead you say...what a crybaby whimp out
by LOANMAN November 7, 2012 12:10 PM

Loanman, those things you list freed people from government. Not the other way around. I'm not worried about too much freedom. I'm worried about too much dependence.
by rspringer November 7, 2012 12:53 PM

so the person who was a slave, sanctioned by the government were freed by the public sector

nope, it took government

women who couldn't vote were free...nope... they had no say they were subjugated by a government controled by white guys

IT WAS LOCAL and STATE governments that had separate schools. it was the FEDERAL government that freed them

by LOANMAN November 7, 2012 1:56 PM

LM, no. I'm saying you're talking about people being freed from bonds. I'm talking about people becoming so dependent on the government that they won't want to risk voting for someone who might try to free them.

Slavery and suffrage are different issues than getting a check in the mail every week. There's a saying that goes something along the lines of 'if pigs could vote, they'd vote for the guy with the slop bucket.'

When food stamps are outpacing job growth, Obama is the guy with the slop bucket.
by rspringer November 7, 2012 2:35 PM

and I'm saying that whiners all over have been saying

we are going to hell for this...going to hell for that..it's soooooooooo tired

BLAH BLAH BLAH...people that were against the examples I gave ALL cited hellfire and damnation and that's all bs and a way to scare the simple minded and the simple repeat it.

Had Romney won, I would take my lumps graciously instead of saying we are all going to mormon hell blah blah blah

by LOANMAN November 7, 2012 2:52 PM

Turdman, after reading about your spellcheckexperience I ran Obama through mine and it came out Lyingcheatinwhitehatingnoncitizensnakeoilsalesmansocialistpieceofshit. Are you using a good spell checker?

As for Mormonism, I, too, never met a mormon I didnt like. Wonderful bunch of well intentioned but misguided folks. God just gave me some gold tablets but then took them from me. Im sure you all will believe me, as I am a new modern profit. Thats fodder for another thread though.

Obama pandered to the millions who think the gov owes them. The millions who think its OK to jump our borders without recourse. The scum of all colors who want to stay on wellfare and gov programs. Those IDIOTS who vote party or color just cuz their parents did or they are of color. Now lets see Oputrid get some backbone on loan from God and close up our borders---Oh I foprgot, he never would have gotten in either, being of different nationality. Hmmm what else can he do? End the war, yeah thats the ticket!! He will be credited with ending a war HE kept going for the past years. Does he think the sheeople are stupid? Whenhe says We are ending the war, does he not think we realize he has kept us there and a huge piece of our deficit is from financing the war boys toys? How about all our money going to middle east countries instead of developing our own oil sources? Wow he is a GREEN President. Sounds good but6 it does nothing for us now. Do you know how many millions he funneled into GREEN companies that folded up or never got off the ground? Look it up.

Its OK for you though Turdly. You are apparently immune from whatever happens to the rest of us. Honestly, Im glad for you and wish we all were but with 'haves' you must have 'have-nots'.
by Cedonulli2 November 7, 2012 5:16 PM

I am not immune. As long as I am not singled out I'll go with the flow.
It is not about me.
If my house is wiped off the earth specifically, I'll be pissed.
If my state is wiped off the map as an example, I'll go with that flow.

It is not about me.
I cannot fathom what it is about, but I'm pretty sure it isn't me.
I do not believe God has a plan for me. I am not so self centered as to think I require a moment of his time.
I believe the same of whoever or whatever makes the three hundred year plan....

by LOANMAN November 7, 2012 8:51 PM

Back at ya' asshole.

Marvin? All I can say is, you have a problem. Racism being one, and pseudo 'christian' being another.
by Fredpa1 November 7, 2012 11:11 PM

No problem Fred, you've more than shown your douchiodity on a multitude of occasions, this just being the latest.
by Lex Parsimoniae November 8, 2012 3:47 AM

Fred my main gal---racism is one thing you cant throw at me. I was kicked off here for trying to defend some Viners of other colors against jokes which I considered racial and degrading. I was willing to loose 9 years posting history here for that belief and did it. Would you have?

I belive in God and dont think we need to tie ourselves to one religion. At least not at this point in my continued study and searching.

My main problem is people like you who have an agenda unknown to me or have totally misunderstood many of my posts, which are usally just jokes or for my own intertainment, even if at my own expense.

The possibilty exists that you could be doing the same just to play with me so Ill give you the benefit of the doubt and hold no animosity toward you. God is judge---I am not.
