Political: CIA releases new timeline on Benghazi

http://news.yahoo.com/detailed-account-benghazi-attack-notes-cias-quick-response-020906681--abc-news-politics.html

Intelligence officials have disclosed a new detailed timeline of the attack on the American consulate in Benghazi, acknowledging the CIA played a greater role in responding to the attack than has previously been disclosed. A senior U.S. intelligence official also insisted that the CIA security team that initially responded to the attack was not given orders "to stand down in providing support," as had been suggested in media reports.

"New and Improved Timeline" is more like it. Don't you think they knew what they did the first 24 hours in something like, I don't know - the first 24 hours, or the first 48 hours, or the first week, or the first two weeks, or the first month, or the first six weeks?

Almost two monthly later it appears they finally have agreed upon what they did in the first 24 hours. And just in time for Election Day.

I'm impressed.

They must be working very hard on that PowerPoint presentation.

You idiot have been saying you want explanations and then dismiss any that comes out.

It's a non starter at this point..sorry

You can't have it both ways. Lots of emails, lots of releases lots of ass covering.

But of course, cherry pick things that suit your narrative, after all you are known to be the fairest poster of them all.

My take is hmmmm, Obama didn't know anything? I understand spin, but this does not pass the smell test. Unless you're a close relative of the poster who references farts (smells), daily.

Your partisan demagoguery is kind of Limbaughish creepy.

The problem with Obama Administration explanations is they don't match up with facts.

We have to apply a lot a Affirmative Action to bring Obama's explanations up to the level of reality.

Im going to wait until FOX News talks about this before I respond. They know whats happening behind closed doors, in Benghazi, or any sort of intelligence even before the CIA does.

Or ill wait until Trishy talks to her moms brothers squirrel trainer friend who works with the Secret Service in the White House.

Yeah, U&I - don't read any of the cables, e-mails, facts or documents published by Fox that completely backs up their reporting.

Just let Chris Matthews tell you what to believe. You two can share a leg tingle.

Funny you should say that because the reporter that broke this fiasco is probably going to get a pulitzer for her work. Fox has, as a matter of fact, uncovered more classified and secret information than the WH is letting out.

A series of emails detailing the events,
drone footage, statements by the libyan leader as well as from those on the ground, evidence of previous attacks gone unaddressed, etc etc.

But one reporter apparently talked to an unnamed senior official and it's gospel and refutes all the other evidence.

Please.

Goes to prove you'll believe and give credence to anything, no matter how unsubstantiated, as long as it agrees with your preconceived narrative.

Come back when you actually have something.

There's only one thing certain here: Joe Biden still doesn't know...

CA,

Obama said the blame rests with him in the debates. Isn't that good enough for you?

by YATI November 2, 2012 3:30 PM

Yati - maybe his views are still evolving on the subject and after the Government determines what it did he will decide it really isn't his responsibility after all. Personally I blame Bush .

by MichiganTed November 2, 2012 4:02 PM

One thing we know for sure...Obama standing in front of the UN WEEKS after Benghazi and referring to the ridiculous video SIX TIMES makes him either the biggest baffoon ever to occupy the white house, or a lying bucket of donkey piss.

I vote for the latter.
