Political: So we gained 170,000 jobs last month---how many straight months of job growth is that?

Gosh, corporate profits are at near record highs. Banks are flush. Tax rates are the lowest they have been in years.
Housing is starting to percolate in many areas. And the unemployment rate is under the magical 8% that wing nuts like to throw around ans some kind of benchmark.

So what's Mitten's argument again?

Oh, that's right. Obama made the economy worse.

How fucking stupid do you have to be to believe that kind of idiocy?
by That's funny! November 2, 2012 8:49 AM

And the last 2 months prior were revised upwards.

Yes, Breitbartians---we know it's a conspiracy!

I'll await the "yeah but "real" unemployment is almost 15%!"

Who will do the honors?
by That's funny! November 2, 2012 8:57 AM

And the unemployment rate is under the magical 8% that wing nuts like to throw around ans some kind of benchmark.

Actually the number is closer to 14%.

The 8% is the magical number you fuck wit Libtards like to cling to.

God your stupidity is mind numbing.
by MTB November 2, 2012 9:00 AM

Didn't have to wait too long did ya Ancho....

Now you can back to molesting your dog. Have a nice morning.
by MTB November 2, 2012 9:02 AM

Ancho,

And how many jobs did Obama fall short of his goal. And how many percentage points higher is the UE rate that what he said it would be at the end of his term.

I know your job has no goals other than to spread fertilizer. If I came up that short of my stated goals on my job, I would be fired.

by YATI November 2, 2012 9:04 AM

Once you've hit bottom (you can only lose so many jobs) the natural business cycle will create new ones.

Of course the lay offs in mass are coming, some have already started in the shadow of looming Obamacare hits and taxes.

As far as the jobs report:

"The company, whose monthly national employment report is derived from payroll data and which provides a closely watched snapshot of private-sector job growth, is routinely wrong."

"In today's release, the first one using ADP's new methodology, the payroll company said non-farm private employers added 158,000 jobs in October. That's in line with the 162,000 jobs it said the economy generated in September.

Or not. According to ADP's new formula, job growth in September was half of what the company previously reported :

Private sector employment increased by 88,200 jobs from August to September, according to the September ADP National Employment Report... Last month's employment estimate was revised down from 80,000 to 76,400 jobs."

"Despite such discrepancies, ADP expresses confidence that its monthly reports "will further align" the company's findings with the U.S. Labor Department's monthly job figures. Historically, the ADP and Bureau of Labor Statistics jobs data have often been significantly different, causing confusion over the pace of job growth and occasionally catching investors by surprise.

It's odd that the entire point of this revision is to make sure ADP comes up with the same numbers as the government does. That's very different than trying to give better, more accurate information."

But you go ahead, I'll wait for the new methodology coming from the Moody's/ADP alliance.

by Lex Parsimoniae November 2, 2012 9:12 AM

Lex, with all your reported analogies lucky for us it still adds up to 170,000 jobs added! LMAO!!!
by cspatmon November 2, 2012 9:44 AM

The UE number went UP not Down...

People know what they feel and they don't feel like things are getting better. November 6th will show you what has been obvious for a long time.
by trishy1010 November 2, 2012 9:46 AM

by cspatmon November 2, 2012 9:44 AM

Obviously, cspatmon, you do not understand the definition of "analogies".
by The Truth November 2, 2012 9:58 AM

Cspats,

And yet Weekly jobless claims remain above 360,000. I know you aren't good at math, but that comes out to about $1.44 million people losing their job per month.

Granted a good number of people filing for unemployment are sleds like yourself, but if your think 170k new jobs is good, and we have a great recovery going on, you should be laid off.
by YATI November 2, 2012 10:01 AM

Anchochimp,

While you are spinning for our entertainment spin this.

What is the labor force participation rate?

How many people are not being counted in the unemployment numbers because they have given up looking?

Spin that monkey...
by ConservativeMe November 2, 2012 10:05 AM

lex,it appears to our liberal viners

that ADP means "attention deficit prone".

to paraphrase their leader, your post was

"above their pay grade".
by dblbogey2 November 2, 2012 10:08 AM

Good lord Anco you're right. The economy is roaring. Obama should win easily. All there's left to do know is quadruple the price of electricity so there'll be no more hurricanes.

by chubbs1 November 2, 2012 10:12 AM

Anchobrainfart,

First off, Romney's message is that Obama made the RECOVERY worse, putting us in a worse economic position that we would otherwise be...

A very important distinction that changes the meaning.

Doesn't it Ancho?

Of course you know that, yet you purposefully twisted the fact to create a narrative that suites your message- ergo Romney is bad and his supporters are stupid.

You said: "How f&*%#@g stupid do you have to be...?"

Says the guy who daily, dependably, and predicably twists reality and facts out of recognition in order to maintain his cockeyed liberal worldview.

When you purposefully sacrifice facts and evidence to support the ideology you cling to, what would you call that?

Self delusion.

Question for you Ancho, using your words, how (bleeping) stupid do you have to be do delude yourself over and over and over and ....

over and over and over and
over and over and over and
over and over and over and
over and over and over and
over and over and over and
over and over and over and
over and over and over and
over and over and over and
OVER!?!?!?!?

Everyone in this economy right now can openly see Obama has failed on the economy (and a zillion other things too). Everyone, that is, except the dwindling slice of the population that keeps deluding themselves that:

Obama's policies are working...
or
Obama deserves no blame- blame Bush...
or
Obama deserves no blame for Benghazi- blame the CIA...Hillary...Romney for speaking up and defending American values...
or
Obama has given us a plan for the next 4 years to make things better...
or
America will vote against Obama because they are haters... race haters... poverty haters... women haters... muslim haters...
or
Obama deserved that Nobel Prize...
or
Obama will heal the planet... stop the seas from rising... heal race relations...
or
A HUNDRED OTHER FANTASTICAL, FANATICAL FUBAR beliefs...

How stupid do you have to be Ancho?

Pretty freaking stupid.

CM,

You wouldn't be referring to the fact that the percentage of Americans working hasn't been as high as it is now since the 80's would you?

by YATI November 2, 2012 10:33 AM

CM,

by YATI November 2, 2012 10:33 AM

Why yes I am.....

Now if only the Anchochimps of the world could understand that number means more than the unemployment number we might get somewhere.

But we all know how it works. Today the unemployment number means something and we don't talk about all of the people who have given up looking and are no longer counted. Come February when we have President Romney in office we will hear about all of the people who have dropped out of the workforce and the real unemployment rate is 11% or better.
by ConservativeMe November 2, 2012 10:54 AM

If Americans are not working, then they must not need to work. There are jobs. Go find one.
by Unfair and Imbalanced November 2, 2012 11:10 AM

Yeah there living on government hand outs both state and federal.

Thanks for finally getting it Imbalanced!!
by MTB November 2, 2012 11:20 AM

Thank God we have no collateral loan programs that create millions of jobs in mortgage lending along with record low rates! So tell me the plan to keep unemployment down when rates double due to government spending?
by the voice of reason November 2, 2012 11:24 AM

U&I,

Why go get a job that pays you $9/hour until your 99 weeks of UE runs out?

Why go get a job when the ones you can get don't cover the cost of daycare?

Average income has dropped about 8% under this putz. You happy with that?

by YATI November 2, 2012 12:07 PM

Yati

"Why go get a job that pays you $9/hour until your 99 weeks of UE runs out?"

2 jobs at $9/hour would work, right? There are jobs. Go and get a couple. Simple solutions. That also applies to your other question about affording daycare.

Also, do you think they are going to get hired when the UE runs out? As an employer or someone who does the hiring and firing, would YOU hire someone who hasnt been working for 99 weeks? I wouldnt.

I would rather hire someone who has the ambition to actually just work, rather than some slacker who is collecting UE for 99 weeks.

If they are choosing to live off of the govt dole, than thats going to end up biting them in the ass down the road, more than helping them now.

I guess I grew up different than most where getting a handout is like swearing in church.

Thanks for finally getting it Imbalanced!!
by MTB November 2, 2012 11:20 AM

When did I ever not get it? Not working and living off of UE benefits is going to hurt you more than help you. See my points to Yati. Its one of the things that I disagree with Obama on.

If people think the real UE numbers are at 14% or 15%, then its because they choose not to work, not because there aren't any jobs or cant find 1 or 2 of them.

by Unfair and Imbalanced November 2, 2012 12:58 PM

"do you think they are going to get hired when the UE runs out?"

Unfortunately, the many that are sitting on the UE benefits don't realize this.
by Lex Parsimoniae November 2, 2012 1:33 PM

U&I,

Needing two jobs is the Obama economy...Pretty cool huh?

I got a pretty good job after being on UE for 48 weeks. If 6 figures is considered pretty good. Would I have taken a different job if I had no UE, Yup, I would have been working in a week. But then I also had well over 2 years reserves in savings.

Everybodys situation is different. For those who do not have a chance at getting much better than getting a $9/hour job, they will milk it as long as they can.

by YATI November 2, 2012 3:07 PM

Ancho and you find this acceptable and call it real growth ,you guzzling that kool-aid again ain't ya' HAHAHAHAHA , what the heck makes you tick like this dude ??????
by The Jester Is A Mirror November 2, 2012 3:46 PM

Turd

Unemployment went up not down, so more jobs were lost than supposedly created.

The did not report the jobs numbers like this before Obama, they do that so people to stupid to think for themselves will mistakenly think Obama is "creating" jobs.
by RICHONE November 2, 2012 4:40 PM

Leave me out of this one.
My previous pa got a job her first day as a nurse, her slacker friend is going to waste bait of money she fell in to and not go to work in to.
She has learned to live on $700 monthly and wallows in it.

Could be making $1000 a week Plus OT.

Many people are wankers.

I could be making mid sixes, choose to be retired instead.
Everyonehas a line. Mine was based on all of my life being handled first.

Romney has a chance. But his problem is that there aren't enough white men to offset everyone else.

I just read about Ohio and how they are already fucking up the absentee situation----in a democratic stronghold of course.
So it wouldn't surprise me in the least if Romney wins Ohio and/or the White House.

“If a White House had been as dismissive of African-American’s interest as Obama has been, Blacks would have been ready to march on the White House,” wrote respected journalist George Curry, who in mid-2011 moderated a discussion between Rev. T Funnyand you call people fucking stupid, you can't hide from your true colors can you: Oh you only count what happens to the non-blacks as good news huh ?
African Americans continued to be battered by a high rate of unemployment on the eve of the high-stakes presidential election, as numbers rose in October to 14.3 percent from 13.4 percent in September, the U.S. Department of Labor said on Friday.
More stunning were the statistics for the jobless rate among African-American teens: 40.5 percent, rising from 36.7 percent in September.
Man up white boy.

Why you think Michelle Biceps is out there at black colleges giving speeches week before election and Barry is on the View and US Magazine they cant even fire up their base to go vote unless they offer them free pizza and a ride. All GOP in country will be voting cant say same for Dems. Im not a huge Mitt fan but hes hetter than Barry. Now rates would stay lower under Barry but well pay for it in a couple years when our T Bills are B rated
