Political: How many novels, movies, tv shows, news articles dipict a murderer leaves..

...the scene of the crime with the evidence. And with the blessings of law enforcement. The cowardly murderer George Zimmerman, was allowed to leave with the evidence aka red jacket. I bet the jacket went into the wash before he made his way to the hospital to checkout his life threating injury's, the following day. No forensic's, no ballistic tests, no gunshot residue, no DNA, no drug or alcohol testing, only the word of a killer. Afterall, a story from a outstanding citizen like George. and a judge's son? Is good enough for the Sanford PD. He could never lie about this suspicious black hooded thug armed with ice tea and candy! We haven't found the evidence yet, but It's bound to surface, he was up to no good!

It does look like the Sanford PD screwed the pooch on this one.

I would also be willing to bet that Zimmerman knew EXACTLY how the law reads in Florida regarding this shooting. Im sure his father explained it to him.

His intentions as a neighborhood watch guy may have been good, but I believe he knew what he could and couldnt get away with.

Doesnt sound like either Martin or Zimmerman or the Sanford PD are too bright though.

More word soup Cspats?

Don't believe what you hear on TV or in the movies.

Interesting conspiracy theory stuff, except:
1. DNA is not needed to determine who was involved in this. There is no dispute that Zimmerman and Martin were the participants.
2. There is no dispute that Zimmerman had a gun and fired it, so gunshot residue would not tell you anything about Zimmerman, and they have Martin's clothing to do any residue or other tests to show how close he was to Zimmerman when he was shot.
3. There is no claim that Zimmerman received life-threatening injuries, only that he was injured.
4. Ballistics tests are most often done to try to match a gun to a crime. In this case, the gunman admitted that it was his gun that fired the shot. Plus, you have ZERO way of knowing if ballistics tests were done or will be done.
5. The police did not rely solely on the word of a "killer". They also relied on what they observed and on information supplied by witnesses.
This case may end up involving a criminal act, and could even be found to be murder. Your type of speculation does nothing to provide light. It just fuels the passions of those, like yourself, who want to find the guy guilty before the facts come out.

By the way, try lying on the ground with someone on top of you slamming your head against the ground and let me know if you think your life is threatened or not. Given the way you think and write, it seems like something similar must have happened to you some time in your life.
by adelphos March 27, 2012 1:04 PM

sheesh, people are always looking at the right hand - when they should be looking at the "left".

this is a travesty and even more so a tragedy in the lives of all those living for the victim, as well as the potential culprit and his family and all those who care about him.

here we sit, eating our popcorn, caught up in the events involving this situation. yet everything around us tells us that bigotry and prejudices rears its ugly heads on a daily basis - with no reporting of these events outside of the local community.

so "why"? ask yourselves, why is it that the media has brought this forward and the peoples in power have an opinion to this particular event - yet "no" word is given on similar events on a day to day basis???

is this just a way to stir trouble amongst the common folks so that eventually someone or some group will tweak and cause even more insanity, leading us to a martial law situation?

or am i just being too sensitive?

I agree with Adelphos who is one of the most sensible and reasonable persons on this site.
You bet if someone is slamming my head on the pavement I would blow them away too because at that point I am in danger of serious bodily harm or death of which use of deadly force is permissible at least in the state I reside in.

Dark pools run deep.

Further proof that not all overzealous gun owning racists are Republicans.

You opened the door, FTR...I just walked in.

Its the "F__k_n C__n" comment on the 911 tapes. Thats what set people off.

Other tragic events such as this usually dont hit the forefront of media scrutiny because there isnt an audio tape showing a predetermined bias.

by Unfair and Imbalanced March 27, 2012 2:16 PM

not true u&i. many cases involve documented evidence to travesty - that receive "no" attention outside it's local communities!

also, we all may want to see and investigate what else is going on in the world at this time, not surprising if there are other events happening simultaneously that are affecting all of our livelihoods and freedoms, yet we stay glued to this nonsense. but that's just me looking outside the box. keep munching the popcorn!

TTE, tell me the liberal media wouldnt have needed a wetnap had he been a registered R.

by FromTheRight March 27, 2012 2:25 PM

Eh? Did you say C**n or Goon?
by Frank N Furter March 27, 2012 2:37 PM

FTR: I'm sure Rachel Maddow would have gone straight to cover that story.
by The Tolerant Educator March 27, 2012 3:31 PM

TTE

I agree, It is probably 60/40 in favor of democrats....Of course I am counting illegal owners of hand guns too.

by YATI March 27, 2012 4:33 PM

Yeah, but the owners of illegal handguns probably have a lower inventory. I'm thinking the small town Republicans who like to go hunting own a larger inventory, so I think your 60/40 figure is skewed. Let's just call it 50/50.
by The Tolerant Educator March 27, 2012 4:58 PM

That's fair,

I have 6 guns, none of them are hand guns. They aren't a bad investment. They hold their value and you can protect your investment.
