Nations Home Lending is finished
Sutton Bank shut it down this evening.
AE's are being contacted to let them know that they are no longer employed.
by igotyourback July 26, 2007 12:00 AM
I know that a lot of us got the axe this afternoon, but I spoke to a couple of A/Es that were retained.
Are you saying that this has changed too? NHL completely gone?
by Mac July 26, 2007 12:00 AM
They are gone.
Never met you Mac, but I feel for you. I heard that your a good guy. Sorry that you had to get involved with this group.
by igotyourback July 26, 2007 12:00 AM
Wow
Hang in there Mac, Good luck
by dead eye July 26, 2007 12:00 AM
Mac, didn´t you just start working for them? I thought I read that somewhere?
by lifemortgageloans July 26, 2007 12:00 AM
Yup....done....well done....it was good working with all of ya! Best of luck to everyone.
by David Spencer July 26, 2007 12:00 AM
Thanks all. Yeah, I joined up with them about 7 weeks ago.
You know, this is really playing havoc with my job retention ratio. LOL
I was at 10.88 years a job until May.
I´m sure we´ll be fine. :)
by Mac July 26, 2007 12:00 AM
Sorry to hear that. We all wish you (and everyone else at NHL) the very best.
by lifemortgageloans July 26, 2007 12:00 AM
Mr. McC, sorry to hear that the rest of you got it today. I had a feeling it was just a matter of time, but I didn´t think it would be this quick!

When is Nations Home Lending Center in FL going to bit the dust?
by traditional nonprime July 26, 2007 12:00 AM
Hey, Igotyourback...if you are who I think you are, how´s the new gig? I mean...how hard is it!?
by Allgonenow July 26, 2007 12:00 AM
Allgonenow,
It is all good. Not easy, but building relationships. Work for a great company. After leaving, it really wasn´t hard to fall into a good situation.
by igotyourback July 26, 2007 12:00 AM
Anyone want some souvenier business cards?
by NHL Rep July 26, 2007 12:00 AM
When is it going to stop? You leave the office for a few minutes and come back for more bad news. Best of luck to all the employees who got whacked today.
by baby its cold outside July 26, 2007 12:00 AM
Never used you guys, but wish you all good luck. This shit is really starting to get old. Is there anyone who truely is stable and sticking around? With companies like Wells squashing is BC lending it makes you realize everyone is vulnerable. Good Luck Mac
by jlorenz July 26, 2007 12:00 AM
It will stop when all the fraud in this business is taken serious, and people who commit it are sent away for a long time.
by igotyourback July 26, 2007 12:00 AM
Mac, I´m sure you´ll find another home soon! If you want to try the LO side again let me know!

Brayn and Mac good luck! I am not sure about you guys, but if all of these shops were eventually going to shut thier doors don´t you wish it all would have happend in one quick strike. Watching good people having to go to work every day for the last year I am sure wondering how much longer they will have a job is just painful. It sucks that anyone has lost a job, and that the biz has changed so much. I just wish it wasn´t an ongoing strung out thing. Every day I check stocks, the vine, and the Implode-o-meter just to see where not to send deals that are closing that month for fear they wont be in business by close date. That is a daily ritual I can´t stand doing. I am sure we have all seen the changes, but I know I see it as most of my loans are new construction. I have had so many deals that were pre-qualifed 3-4 months ago and now there is no option or lenders for them to fit by closing date. I truly hope for all of us that the lenders that are left will just draw a line in the sand, and state this is all that they are willing to do. We can adapt our customer base to it, and all have jobs with some security to go to the next day.
Good luck everyone.
by jlorenz July 26, 2007 12:00 AM
jlorenz, I think it´s been like that since the beginning of the year. Quite a tumultuous time ´eh? I sure hope it ends soon. :)
by Mac July 26, 2007 12:00 AM
Jsnyds1,
Any luck on the job front in the last week? I´ve been trying to line something up thru Z. Did you get any better news last Friday? Let´s grab lunch soon...I won´t pack!

Spoke with the President of the Company. He assured me we are still open for business! The one that went under is the one in Ohio.
Thanks
by JustanotherAE July 28, 2007 12:00 AM
That is correct. The one that was affiliated with Sutton Bank in Ohio is the one that died.

How did anyone get the 2 confused? Doesn´t the original post state Nations Home Lending is finished, Sutton Ban shut them down? Nowhere does it mention NHLC or FL....just curious why it was so confusing to some?
by Bryan Anderson July 29, 2007 12:00 AM
"Bank"
by Bryan Anderson July 29, 2007 12:00 AM
Please be assured that Nations Home Lending Center in Deerfield Beach FL is open for business. I am the Sr Uw and am sitting here approving loans as I type. We are continuing to get in new business daily, are hiring AE´s all over Florida, have added a new staff member starting today and look forward to receiving your pre quals and new loans each and every day. We specialize in Alt A and sub prime loans. Please dont confuse us with Sutton Bank and their division of a similar name.
by nyflmtgegal1 July 30, 2007 12:00 AM
Next thing you know the janitor from NHLC will be posting that they are still in business.
NEXT!
by Phineas Gage July 30, 2007 12:00 AM
I am an Account Executive with Nations Home Lending Center in Deerfield Beach Florida. It was confusing to some because the names are similar and then they posted our address, which was very irresponsible on their part. I would also like to set the record straight and let everyone out there know that we here at Nations Home Lending Center are standing strong and most assuredly open for business.
by Jammingjan July 30, 2007 12:00 AM
www.ml-implode.com originally had the wrong Nations Home Lending. They printed the wrong phone numbers address, State, etc. Thats where all the confusion came in.
by Still Ticking July 30, 2007 12:00 AM
How fucking transparent is it that the boss told the NHLC folks in DEERFIELD BEACH FLORIDA to all post on the Vine that they´re still in business? That hole in your head is letting you see pretty clearly Gage.

These clowns were completely clueless, every file in their eyes was fraud. Mgmt had no idea how to run a succesful operation. Their National sales manager was a complete waste of space as well. I submitted 18m in 4 months , Funded under 400k , and these clowns wonder why they were shut down. zero support from inside staff, ( no account manager) just what they call an account coordinater who also was a complete waste of space. never returned brokers calls or emails, a complete waste of space
these guys were a complete joke from day 1, I am just sorry I wasted 4 months of my career with these clueless chumps.
If DADDY opens up again for his boy Brian ( if they find a bank stupid enough to bankroll them ) they will fail again that is certain, Complete losers is all they are ...
c- ya suckers ! Buenas Suerte !
by AESUBLIME August 2, 2007 12:00 AM
AESUBLIME I couldn´t agree with you more. I wasted 6 months myself there. They had zero clue to what they were doing but according to them they did. That is why they were going to be standing strong at the end. I am just glad I got out when I did. Ron Smiddy was a complete waste how he was a national sales manager is beyond me.
by AE NO NAME 1 August 3, 2007 12:00 AM
AESUBLINE,
That post is classic.
by igotyourback August 7, 2007 12:00 AM
AESUBLIME - your post is right and wrong. If I had to guess, you were in the Midwest Region, probably out of Illinios, which had no clue (and frankly got no help from "management").
First, the Coordinator worked her butt off, but it is hard to do your job when 80% of the sales force Ron Smiddy brought on board was as clueless as him, mostly due to his inability to coach what he didn´t understand - product and process. That is where the real problem started. It is almost comical to watch Ron Smiddy in any professional situation - we had him for a short period in our initial training and he is absolutely clueless - everyone joked about him at dinner later.
You are partially correct as well on the fraud issue - every file was under a microscope. That unfortunately stemmed from extremely poor quality deals being submitted and underwriters that were auditors with very little real lending experience.
However, there were some good personnel involved in that operation but unfortunately the owner was mislead for an extended period by a "National Sales Manager" that was so over his head that it baffles my mind how he could have even attained the position. When he finally hired other individuals with a grasp of reality and actual lending knowledge and experience, the operation was slowly turning. I too was an AE but had a manager that actually understood the product, actually worked for our benefit to improve the process, and actually cared about our success as well as the company - so I was beginning to close loans. It wasn´t an easy road for sure, but it was moving in a positive direction because the owner was no longer being BS´d by Ron Smiddy.
Yes, there is a new company and I am again an AE within it - we will see how it progresses but one thing is for certain - the room for improvement will be analyzed and worked by personnel that far exceed Ron Smiddy´s limited knowledge of how to manage (or mismanage) an operation. Trust me, I would not be here if it were not for my manager as there are certainly obstacles, starting internally, to overcome.
I am sorry you had such a poor experience and I wish you the best in landing with another lender. As for me, we shall see...................
by exposethemall September 14, 2007 12:00 AM
The owner was mislead by Ron Smiddy? That´s a good one. Keep drinking the Kool-Aid!!
by igotyourback September 18, 2007 12:00 AM
exposethemall,
If what you say is accurate, which it isn´t, then explain why RS works for JM now as a sales manager at the new venture that you are a part of..... http://www.wexfordfunding.com/contact.php, here is your contact info page just to refresh your memory. I also seriously doubt that you ever had a manager at NHL that knew the product or process, I had been there for a long time and never had a manager that knew the product(even when things were good). If your manager was one of the new ones that were hired at the end, I promise that they didn´t know their ass from a hole in the ground.
Best of luck there, you´ll be looking for a new job once you have a big dog or two in the pokey for what they did at NHL.
by Deputy Coogan September 20, 2007 12:00 AM
HEY CLUELESSDCHBAGS & DEPUTYCOOGAN :
I find your posting pretty funny. It shows that you have nothing better to do than worry about other people that have a life. With all these posting, those guys are getting a lot of free press!!!
I wish all of you who write in about this post the best of luck.
by mox September 20, 2007 12:00 AM
HEY CLUELESSDCHBAGS:
After re-reading your post, the Brian´s have decided that all you are is a "LOW LIFE LOSER". A real person would not have to post there thoughts on a web site that is for loans brokers have and that no one would want to do anyways. All you have to do is come by and see us or call, "same place, same phone #" CHICKEN!!! Hell, you can even come by the house if you want. I am sure you know were we live.
This web site is a joke. The only reason I even look at it is b/c I get phone calls about it. As you can see nobody cares what you have to say. If they did, there would have been a new posts by brokers and there is not. To even find this post, you have to go all the way back to July.
As you can tell nobody cares what anyone has to say about NHL. The Brian´s think that this is all pretty funny and if you were worth a anything in the mtg business, you might have a job.
We wish you luck in what ever you may be doing, which appears not to be much.
by mox September 21, 2007 12:00 AM
by exposethemall September 21, 2007 12:00 AM
Deputy Coogan - obviously you have an axe to grind with NHL or their personnel, which is why your post rambles so vindictively. I would be interested to know if you have a new job as surely the new venture did not want you.
It is easy for you to criticize, but without basis - "also seriously doubt that you ever had a manager at NHL that knew the product or process, I had been there for a long time and never had a manager that knew the product (even when things were good). If your manager was one of the new ones that were hired at the end, I promise that they didnīt know their ass from a hole in the ground." I have worked with my manager for nearly five years and I know he knows product across the industry as well or better than most mortgage professionals so I know you are full of shit. In fact, it would be interesting to see you demonstrate your mortgage knowledge without hiding behind a make believe badge. Bet there are some good psychologists out there that would like to analyze Deputy Coogan! Are you a relative of Bullwinkle or Dudley Do Right?
Also, by saying, "once you have a big dog or two in the pokey", you continue to exhibit your lack of real lending depth. To what are you referring? A case involving the lender, investor, and title company. How common place is that? Do you even know? Again, do you have any facts? And using the term "big dog", wishful thinking again?
I spoke to my manager about your inarticulate post and he told me to ignore dribble from a moron but I couldn´t. Whether we succeed or not, at least we are attempting to positively overcome the adversity currently plaguing this industry. You failed to elaborate on your current professional endeavor - most likely, going back to school for your doctorate from Coogan Appalachian prep! I look forward to your response as I know it will be full of informative opinion articulated with a third grade, unemployed mindset.
Regardless, I understand you are a moron so I still wish you the best of luck professionally.
by exposethemall September 21, 2007 12:00 AM
Mox (if that´s your real name), I know you can´t help being stupid, but do you have to be so cocky? I think you´ll come to regret that. I guess it´s just like Momma used to say, "stupid is as stupid does". If at some point you have to start over in your career, I hear Seattle is nice for that.
There is really no reason to speculate on big dog JM and his fraud. It is on the public record, although you have to go to the Warren County courthouse to see it, anybody with a nickel for the meter can see. Look at the case http://www.co.warren.oh.us/clerkofcourt/search/detail.asp?A5CRCD=07CV69151
and ask yourself if those pay off instructions where the title company was told to pay off Sutton Bank by sending money to National City look right to you. That is called wire fraud, a 10-20 year stay at Club Fed is the result of that.
Of course that case went away because it was a civil case, all about money. The title co did SB´s dirty work and got the money back. The criminal case will follow because you see there is so much more. This was not a one-time event, this is where JM gets his funding and he can´t go on without doing it over and over. Much of it is on the public record in two states, for anyone who cares to look. Even Sutton Bank, niave, trusting, country rubes that they were, unraveled it within a few weeks of JM pulling something on them.
Come to think of it, maybe SB wasn´t as dumb as they appeared. Ever wonder why they laid off a bunch of people on a Friday, only to close the whole thing the next Thursday? Maybe that week is when certain facts came to light and pieces fell into place.
So where are the Feds? Well, you have to understand how they work. Forget Law and Order and CSI. In real life they don´t drag the perps in and sweat the truth out of them. What they do is gather all their information, build their whole case, then bring the perps in and ask them questions. They already know the answers at that point.
So what is the point of this posting? Reality is that JM may never see the inside of Club Fed. We all know that if all the mortgage fraud perps went to jail there wouldn´t be room for anybody else. He will ultimately be ruined however, and the new venture along with him. So I´m trying to warn what few good people involved that they should not stake too much of their personal and professional reputation on this new venture. I´m also trying to warn the few former NHLers who were drawn (perhaps unwittingly)into the scam that you need to have a file at home in your sock drawer so that you have something to bargain with if the Feds come to see you. If they can bust two or more for the cost of one investigation, well they are always looking for bargains like that.
I suspect all this is common knowledge at Sutton Bank. You know how small town people are. If anyone was interested in checking this out, you might try just asking. Oh, one more thing you are wrong about Mox: lots of people read this thread. Maybe soon you´ll get proof of that.
You know, Momma always used to say that "life is like a box of chocolates", but I think Larry the Cable Guy is closer to right about that. He says "life is like a Jalapeno pepper, what you do today will bite you in the ask tomorrow".
by Forest Grump September 26, 2007 12:00 AM
I hope to God he doesn´t come here.
by Charlie Frye September 26, 2007 12:00 AM
Forest, you half wit! You can´t get nothin right. It´s "burn your ask" not "bite your ask"! They´re jalapenos, get it? Now that´s funny right there, I don´t care who you are!
You also don´t know what you´re telling those old NHL people. First, you tell them the Feds don´t ask questions if they don´t already know the answers, then you tell them to keep a file in their sock drawer in case the Feds come asking. That don´t make no sense! If they have info on Mr. M and his crimes, they should take it to the Feds BEFORE they ask, while the info might have some value! If it was me, I´d take all I had right down to the local FBI office and spill my guts to anyone who would listen. In NHL land they hang together though, so maybe the´ll just stick with that plan.
People can´t figure out the scam, so I guess I can help. The scam is always the same-money that should go to pay off a mortgage on one of Mr. M´s mansions is instead diverted into his pocket. Then he just keeps making the payment on the mortgage that should have been paid off and the lender that should have gotten paid never knows it happened.
This is accomplished in several different ways. It´s done on sales and refis. Sometimes, he just gives the title company fake pay-off and wire instructions. Sometimes, he gets two loans at two different places at the same time. Sometimes he files a phony satisfaction first and tells the title co he doesn´t owe anything and they just give him the cash. Mrs. M and her right to individual credit is used sometimes if it helps him hide a loan. I wonder if she knows? If not...yikes! Whether she knows or not, she might get Martha Stewart´s old room!
He´s done this on all or nearly all the properties he owns or has owned recently. The one he sold in Butler County recently is an interesting one. Go to the courthouse there and get a copy of the Bank 1 (Chase) satisfaction that was filed shortly before it sold. Everything looks ok except for the notary. The notary is a former NHL guy turned coffee merchant. Why would that be? Certainly the pay-off dept at a big bank has a dozen notaries in their office, so why would they need Java Joe to notarize? Do you suppose it´s not legit? Meanwhile, the loan that was supposedly satisfied is still open.
I KNOW he did all this. The interesting thing to me now is wondering who his helpers were. We´re talking Feds, remember. Google RICO sometime if you think you are safe.
If I´m making this up it is very damaging slander against Mr. M. Here is something you loyalists who don´t believe me can do. Suggest to him that he sue me as "John Doe". Then he can get a court order to make grapevine reveal who I am. Then he can sue me for real! I´ve even got some real assets, unlike his phony millionaire self. The only problem is, TRUTH is the defense against a slander accusation and I have my own file in a sock drawer. I´ll get sued by the real Larry the Cable Guy before Mr. M will let all that be entered into evidence anywhere.
Like my pal Bill Engvall says..."there´s your sign."
One more thing before I drop this foolishness. Time is short for Mr M. It takes a lot of dough to make all those payments, and when he can´t make payments the house of cards falls down. He can´t make enough with the new venture. He has to be getting desperate, and when he is desperate things get sloppy. Rumor has it that the two mansions down south are both for sale. If the pattern follows, he´ll be looking to file a "satisfaction" about the same time he gets a purchase contract. If I were working at WFG, I´d be very careful now about what I sign or notarize. The tag of "Co-conspirator" doesn´t do much to dress up a resume.
by LawrenceCblGuy September 27, 2007 12:00 AM
What?!? No smart comments from the WFG/NHL side????
I suppose that it is smartest not to comment on the info from the last few posts, huh?

I´m an ex NHL AE, and all I can say about Mr. Mahoney is he was very good to me. I was treated with respect, and kindness, and shown professionalism.
I made a ton of money closing good loans, and helping families. If I needed something all I had to do was ask.
As for the comment above about our coordinator. She worked her tail off. If you needed something done she get it done.
She alone handled 40 plus files a day, plus had to deal with managers, brokers, borrowers, and the ever whining AE´s that couldn´t fax a credit report, let alone read one.
It´s very easy to see a company fall (in the toughest market the mortgage industry has ever seen) and then come on a message board and run everyone down.
Obviously you have serious problems...I´m sure we were/are friends...just let it go and move on with your life.

Hey look, the puppet speaks. Who´s hand is guiding this move? When NHL fell where did you run off to? And MOX, be careful who you call chicken. You´re as yellow as everyone else.
by Too Funny September 28, 2007 12:00 AM
Actually, there is really no need to respond. The information posted is informative and sad if true. First, why would I comment on information I do not know to be accurate; second, why would I respond to a post that classifies a peer as a puppet when all he is doing is posting his true opinion - maybe you are thinking that it was the Brian that works inside as an underwriter and not a fellow AE; and third, why respond to a poster who admits he is a tough talkin´ moron - now he really conjures images of credibility.
Obviously, some of the posters on this site have an axe to grind. Others like Forest Grump and LawrenceCblGuy may have accurate inside knowledge and at least communicate it in a light-hearted, informative manner.
As I have said before, I am just trying to make a living in a very depressed market. Time will tell if I have chosen my current employer incorrectly, but I am confused as to why some of you feel the need to attack those of us through WFG with no relationship to either of the Brians that you seem to detest, or to Mr. M, and are simply trying to close loans.
If you feel that strongly about certain individuals, why don´t you address it with them - it´s not like they are hiding from you? Pick up the phone, or, go visit the office as it seems some of you are local to the office. Until then, your criticism is as mindless, sophomoric, and useless as MOX´s post.
I know this will probably bring the usual moronic responses from a couple of you, but maybe Bryan Anderson is correct and you have "serious problems".

Shucks, nobody said JM isn´t nice. I loved the guy, miss him even now. It´s just that his fund raising methods are a bit criminal.
He´s such a great guy.I think he´ll probably be everybody´s favorite slow-dance partner at the retirement home where he is headed.

it is too bad people have so much time to waste talking about things they do not have all the facts on when people guess they normally guess wrong. why cant people spend their time in a better way. I know for a fact that the info is wrong I know the pereson
I do know this ....that someone is going to get sued over slander and you know who you are..good luck you are going to need it
by mox September 28, 2007 12:00 AM
Mox, you seem to chime right in when others waste their time. With the information I´ve seen online I would think slander is the least of anyone´s concern. BTW, notice all the free press? How´s business now?
by Too Funny September 28, 2007 12:00 AM
i cant believe this waste of time goes on and its too bad its all a bunch of bs
by mollieboy September 28, 2007 12:00 AM
First, lets see where we really are factually - isn´t that the most important element?. The only three posters I see with informative, articulate posts are LawrenceCblGuy, Forrest Grump, Exposethemall, and Bryan Anderson, who interestingly is the only poster to use his own name. All the others seem to ramble with an ax grind agenda or a response to same - or possibly too many late night beers.
The large, unfounded accusation is that NHL or JM engaged in illicit acts to fund loans. We see posts of Club Fed, sock drawer files, sales of mansions to Ponzi scheme, and people who claim to "KNOW" what JM has done.
So, this really boils down to what are the facts? I have yet to see any. In fact, I think one of these posters above is Brian W. Why am I leaving your last name out? Because I want to give you an opportunity to prove yourself and not post accusingly with such vindictive reference to the FBI without proof of your accusations.
I am not related to the Mahoneys. In fact, I think Brian needs to mature quickly - he needs to grow up - his actions today illustrate that fact. But I like his old man, even though I have only known him for six months. Why is that important? Because my family owns one of the largest law firms on the East Coast and I am tiring of your bullshit Brian W., if that is who you are as I suspect. I want to know the truth and intend to ask Jim that same question Monday morning. However, I can assure you that my possible retribution will not be the same as an act of stupidity from an angry son waiting for you outside your place of employment. You are attempting to undermine my employment and that of others that work with me. My response will be support of Mr. Mahoney, if you are not accurate, from a legal position you will not be able to confront.
Nope, not cocky - just the facts. Try me. I will gladly give you my email and that of my representation in response for yours. I know Sutton Bank would not engage in this type of discussion thread, but I find it difficult to believe they would sit by and absorb the accusations you have leveled against Mr. Mahoney and NHL. Personally, I think you are full of shit. If you are who I think you are, I watched you do nothing but sit in your office and play solitaire.
Maybe you have a file in your sock drawer, but I believe there is probably as much in that drawer against you as anyone else. You are playing a dangerous game and you are now playing with bigger fish. Keep posting me boy, but understand that your posts are being reviewed at a higher level. I do not say that to try to shut you up, but to accentuate the need for truth in this thread.
by Mahi Mahi September 28, 2007 12:00 AM
You know, it is about time someone stood up with a declarative post. I don´t know what to think about this whole situation, but I think I know who the above poster is as well as his political and legal connections. If so, you are toast Brian or whomever you are, unless you are correct.
Wow, I feel much better tonight! I have discussed this situation with him daily and he has told me repeatedly to relax and ignore the posts. So, I was caught completely off guard by his response.
As he told me earlier today, I should just focus on getting loans in the door Monday and everything else will work out. Whether that is right or not, I do not know. But I have worked with him long enough to know this, for which he will be pissed at me but I am sick of these pissy male, moron, tough guy posts - the principle in his family´s law firm is a former FBI Agent. Believe me, you are screwing with the wrong guy.
But, maybe you will be a tough guy. Good for you! We will enjoy watching you on the hook!
by exposethemall September 28, 2007 12:00 AM
don´t we all have better things to worry about than NHL or Mr M. It seems like most of the people that worked with NHL are still not working perhaps more time should be used in job hunting not witch hunting.
I think we should let the few who work there do their jobs and let everyone alone.
I worked there for a long time and I know for a fact the info on these post are not accurate... I was involeved in the house purchases, I know the houses are not up for sale, the info given are OLD listings..
Anyway we all most have better things to do
by mollieboy September 29, 2007 12:00 AM
Horrified as I am at the prospect of being hounded by a major East Coast law firm, I will only ask questions after posting this link to the Beaufort County SC public records:
http://rodweb.bcgov.net/pdf/nv_7_6462916_img.pdf
If you have trouble with the link, do your own search. I found it in less that 5 minutes.
Now ask yourself, why would WAMU have their recorded satisfaction returned to NHL´s former office in Cincinnati?
Why would the person signing as a "WAMU officer" be an (at the time) NHL employee, as was the notary?
What if WAMU knows nothing of this satisfaction? If the person just continued making payments as always would they ever find out about it? And then, if the spouse of the person went and applied for individual credit after this was filed, is it posible that another loan could be closed without the title company ever knowing that the WAMU loan was still out there? Is all this significantly more possible if the person involved has knowledge of the mortgage process and control over some of the timing elements?
Mr. M. is a very likeable guy. If you want to believe what he tells you it is up to you. There are better ways of getting the story though, some have already been suggested.
Instead of threatening though you should be thanking. Mahi Mahi, we are former colleagues. No harm to you is intended.
by position2no September 29, 2007 12:00 AM
PS for Maui Maui-
I re-read your post. What kind of "facts" do you think can be posted here? In a review of the posts, you´ve been given 2 links to public records and a suggestion of where to call if you want to know more. It´s all been spelled out to help make sense of it. What do you really expect?
Unfortunately, the Warren County record only shows what documents were filed, but look at the charges in the complaint! Do you suppose the documents filed along with the complaint support those charges? The initial motion was granted, after all. Maybe your lawyer friends can get you copies of those documents without you having to go to Lebanon, OH.
Do I read between the lines that Jr confronted Brian W in person? He´s lucky if he didn´t get his butt kicked. I don´t blame him for sticking up for his dad though. I don´t think he knows and it is all hard to believe.
You WFG guys are way off base if you think BW is the only NHLer involved in this. Several are involved and more are enjoying the show. More than one is worried about what their trust got them into.
Enjoy your conversation with the big guy Monday. I´ll watch the list of AE´s and Managers to see if any names disappear.
by position2no September 29, 2007 12:00 AM
Don´t know how I missed this one. Almost as good as the "Equifirst" threads. Only thing left out is the drinking and sex parties!
Just my random thoughts after a couple of beers!
by Month End Meltdown September 29, 2007 12:00 AM
postition2no - at least your posts are, along with others, in the respectable category - thank-you for that.
But I am done with "expect", "think", and "asking myself". I am employed by JM, as are friends of mine - as such, I intend to utilize my resources for their benefit and that of my company. That includes JM of course. As I said previously, I like him.
I spent my day at my son´s football game (49-0) and unfortunately watching PSU lose. I did not think about this ridiculous thread during that time. However, I will be in the Outer Banks SU-WE with my Uncle, and friends that include GM engineers, FBI agents, and friends for a chartered fishing trip. I can assure you that this thread will be a topic for me. I intend to discover the truth of this and do not intend to listen to the noise from the rest of the posters.
As for Brian, he needs to grow up quick if he wants to play in this game. You are correct; his potential confrontation could only have negative results, especially when he should be busy creating rate sheets - another fact I will discuss with JM on Monday.
Obviously, you know who I am - call me. If you do not know my number, there are others that you know that do. We both know that, don´t we?
by Mahi Mahi September 29, 2007 12:00 AM
Well I tried. Sorry, dots to connect is all I can give you due to the nature of the exchange and the forum. If you don´t want to connect them, it´s up to you. I think Lawrence spelled it out pretty directly, but it will never be provable in this forum. Maybe one of the fishing buddies you mentioned will be able to access information that is unavailable to me. Maybe you don´t care to know.
Actually, I don´t know who you are but I have it narrowed down. Don´t expect a call though.
Enjoy your trip. Except for the hanging out with lawyers part it sounds great!
by position2no September 29, 2007 12:00 AM
If I keep my file in my underwear drawer, does that count? I don´t wear socks so I don´t need a sock drawer. I find this garbage rather amusing. There is nothing wrong with Java Joe, or anyone else that had the ability to notarize. This notary crap is just as much the fault of Mr M. He knew what he was asking them to do. For every reason someone can blame the past employees, I can think of 2 reasons to blame Mr. M. Problem is Mr. M doesn´t realize how easy it is to build a file of wrong-doings against him, even after hearing the garbage from Mr. M´s son. Many of the links on this thread have been a really good place to start. It´s amazing how far a computer geek as myself can get.
As for butt-kicking, lol, I´ll take a crack at most of the past NHL fella´s. I can honestly say a few are what I would call a friend. Figure out who I am and maybe we can trade a few punches
by Too Funny September 30, 2007 12:00 AM
TOO FUNNY, I hope that your entry was posted after having a few late night beers. If not, it is obvious that you have difficulty forming a proper sentence or effectively articulating a logical thought. As FOREST GRUMP says "stupid is as stupid does".
Your post along with other postings reveal that you think that this is some sort of game or a joke. This is no game. The allegations against Mr M. are very serious and whether they are accurate or not have already affected many people and will likely affect many more.
I am also a former NHL employee who has been profoundly affected and there is definately nothing FUNNY about it!! I have a family and responsibilities the same as you probably do, and I havent been doing much laughing lately.
Franky, I find it disturbing and quite sad that these former NHL employees are so entertained by the possibility that these allegations are true and Mr. M could be going to "club fed". I was happy working for Mr. M and I know for a fact that most of the employees there felt the same way. I also believe that if these allegations hadn´t surfaced, 90% of the former Cincinnati NHL employees would have come back if asked.
TOO FUNNY, my suggestion to you and all of the other former NHL employees who find this situation so hilarious, to focus on finding new jobs and move on with your lives.
by thecatcher September 30, 2007 12:00 AM
What is a joke is the effort some people take to make this worse in a stupid thread. Until the Fed´s or anyone else makes a move all this garbage is just that. Put the proof in my hands and I will take this a bit more serious. Catch this - (*) moron.
by Too Funny October 1, 2007 12:00 AM
Catcher, you´re correct. My phonics may be understood, but it follows no sentence structure. With everything you have read in this thread is this your major concern here? If so, move on to www.hookedonphonicssucks.com. NHL was similar to a soap opera crossed with a cartoon. On the cartoon side are bad guys versus good guys. On the soap opera side you have your drama. I seem to think you fit the drama side. Now, I take this thread as serious as I feel I should. It´s just a bunch of words on a wall. It seems to draw your attention as well, therefore it must not be a complete waste of your time. Let me ask if the rumor is true a WFG guy let these words take him to a point of no return? Was his objective met? And "you" are criticizing me here? This isn´t the place to mend an ego, nor clear someone´s integrity. It is a place to warn others to be careful of shady businesses. The twist this thread has taken has, in my opinion, gotten out of hand. Go back to assisting the big guy and quit trying to make friends here.

OHIO MORTGAGE BROKER DRAWS 51 MONTHS IN FEDERAL PRISON FOR MORTGAGE FRAUD
FACTS
James Mahoney, of Mason was sentenced in United States District Court on Feb. 17, 2009 to 51 months imprisonment for fraud he committed in connection with his purchase of more than $2.3 million in real estate.
Mahoney also has to pay $645,925 in restitution to financial institutions that were victims of the fraud. In October, 2008, Mahoney pleaded guilty to one count of mail fraud. Mahoney kept $730,000 from the sale of his house in Middletown in 2001 instead of paying off his mortgage and concealed the fact with a fraudulent "Satisfaction of Mortgage" document. In 2006, Mahoney secured a loan for $1,625,000 to buy a house in Butler County. He again created a fraudulent document when he refinanced the loan in April 2007 and kept the money instead of paying off his earlier loan. For at least the last 15 years Mahoney worked in various aspects of the residential real estate lending business, having been employed by lending institutions and operating his own business. (usattysodistohio21709)
MORAL
Now he will spend the next four years in a federal institution learning how to make license plates.
